Beladagio was opened on October 1, 1999 by long-time friends Bob and Diana Dietz and Melissa Hutton. Both Melissa and Diana had previously managed retail shops and Melissa had over 10 years experience as an interior designer. After many conversations about “what we would do if we owned the business”, Beladagio was born.

In tribute to Melissa’s Italian heritage, the name “Beladagio” was created from two Italian words, “bel” meaning beautiful and “adagio” meaning in a graceful style or manner. Beladagio has come to mean a place where beautiful homes and people begin and where everyone who visits is treated like treasured friends and family.
